A sump pump is a mechanical device that has moving parts that will wear out over time. The lifespan of a pump will vary greatly on how often a sump pump runs. If your sump pit is constantly dry then a fair estimate would be around the 10 year mark. If your sump pale is constantly receiving water and your pump is running every couple of hours we would suggest replacing the pump on a semi annual basis to ensure not flooding occurs in your basement.

Battery Backup Sump Pumps
